James, or Jim as a lot of you know him as, started Financial Services Scotland in 2011 after the Co-operative Insurance closed their advisory service. James qualified as a financial adviser in 1996 and has enjoyed a successful career as both an adviser and a sales manager and felt running his own business was the next natural progression.

James believes that customer service is paramount and prides himself on building a business based on integrity and trust. He is committed to providing excellent, tailored advice, making sure clients are comfortable at each stage of the advice process.

James has had most of his clients for over twenty years and at times, the business can feel like one big family, seeing people buying their first home, get married and welcome their children, as well as planning for the future and retirement.

In his spare time James enjoys mini-breaks in Scotland with his wife Senga, holidaying in Lanzarote, a good whisky and spending time with his young granddaughter Mia.
